Did you know the month of October is National Seafood Month!!! National Seafood month is when we celebrate the love of seafood by cooking up some of our favorite seafood dishes. It's a time to celebrate the ocean and all it has to offer. Fun Fact: According to the National Fisheries Institute, the average American eats more than 15 pounds of seafood each year, consuming about 4.2 pounds of shrimp. We miss you all and pray everyone is recovering well.

It's NATIONAL GET FUNKY DAY!!! Happy Friday All !!! Turn up the energy, improve the mood, smile, laugh, dance and share the enthusiasm everywhere you go. National Get Funky Day encourages everyone to break out of their funk and get funky. When we add a little spice to our everyday routine, it keeps life interesting. Watch your interactions between customers, coworkers and loved ones improve. Funkiness is infectious! National Get Funky Day is a day to celebrate life, spread love, laughter, and light!

Today is NATIONAL GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY!!! National Good Neighbor Day is observed annually on September 28. This day was created to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of a good neighbor. It is a blessing to have a good neighbor, but it is even a greater thing to BE a good neighbor.Good neighbors often become friends. They watch out for each other, lend a helping hand and are there for advice when asked. Neighbors offer that cup of sugar when we are short, collect our mail when we are on vacation, watch our homes and sometimes watch our children and our pets. Simply put, being a good neighbor makes good neighbors and develops lifelong friendships. Wish we were open to celebrate this day with all of you!!! I have truly been blessed to have seen this in action from before Florence and even more so afterwards. Blessed to call AB home!!!

The daunting task started today. We got a lot done but still have a lot to left to do. My staff rocks!!! Sincerely, thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement!! It’s what is keeping us motivated for sure!!! Stay tuned.....

Today, we begin the process of clearing out, cleaning, storing and then rebuilding our restaurant today. It is bittersweet to be doing this again after being open for only 2 months, BUT we will get it done because we love AB, we love our staff, we love our community and we love Full Moon!!! We would be celebrating Wine Down Wednesday today if we were open. After today, I promise you I will need some wine!! Continued prayers for all of you who are still putting your homes and businesses back together like us. We will prevail because #WeAreAB #ABStrong

I went on a little boat ride yesterday evening to check on a friends dock which took us by the Channel Marker. Here is the side of the building that isn’t seen from the road. I am on an emotional roller coaster right now accepting our circumstances after the storm and this put into perspective for me that it really could be so much worse. #WeAreAB #channelmarker #wewillrebuild

We spent the day boarding up and preparing the Moon to the best of our ability. Having only been open for 2 months now, we are praying for mercy from Florence. We will be keeping everyone who is weathering the storm in our thoughts and prayers. Stay safe until we return....FMOB AB crew
